Opportunities to Serve Christ

Serving others. Growing together. Sharing Christ.

We welcome college students from any of the area’s local colleges or universities. Stop by and say hello. We would love to connect with you!
Prison Ministry

Prison Ministry

The Lancaster County Prison (LCP) ministry at Monterey Chapel supports the LCP chaplaincy by facilitating the processing of Emmaus Bible courses. This involves grading completed test booklets submitted by incarcerated individuals and providing commentary on their work.

Each 12-chapter study book requires graders to evaluate multiple-choice questions and provide feedback on an essay question at the end of every chapter. The essay questions are designed to help students apply biblical principles to their personal lives. The commentary provided by graders is crucial, often serving as the student’s only outside interaction while in prison. This feedback validates their efforts, ensures they feel “heard,” and provides a meaningful opportunity for volunteers to make a positive difference in their lives. Contact us at info@montereychapel.org if you’re interested in more information or getting involved.

Summer 2026

Every summer, Monterey hosts a local study group for the National Bible Bee Competition (NBBC), a national-level competition centered around Bible study and memorization for children ages 7-18. During the summer, participants are encouraged to study alongside others at nationwide groups like this one.
